Vancouver Ballet Folklorico

​​Folkloric dance is an authentic expression of a culture and it embraces its traditions, legends, myths, music and art, transmitted generation to generation. The costumes and the music reflect the living cultures of their regions, respectively. The elements of Mexico’s culture are combined together to produce a language of movement, rich traditions and the merging of two strong elements; Indigenous and Spaniard.

MISSION

Our mission is to inspire, motivate and engage children of Hispanic descent to learn, appreciate and preserve the roots and traditions of the Mexican culture through music, respect, discipline, creativity and dance. VBF works to nurture our Hispanic heritage.

VISION

We work together to invigorate the community of Clark County and beyond with musical and colorful installations of traditional dances, celebrations and crafts of Mexico, embracing both the indigenous history and the Spanish influence.

Vancouver Ballet Folklorico is under the fiscal umbrella of Fourth Plain Forward a local non-profit group which connects residents and local businesses with resources, promote International District events and activities, and advocate for safety and transportation improvements in our community.
