Join Today!

Would you like to join us in our conversations and help guide us in addressing the needs of all diverse communities of the SW Washington region? In order to support our upcoming activities, we will be charging a small fee for individuals ($25) and for art organizations and businesses ($100) for an annual membership. This will help us with operational costs and ensure we can continue to advocate for the arts through events, professional development opportunities, and community engagement.

Membership Benefits

Art Group Benefits

  1. The opportunity to be involved in identifying and creating a regional Arts Center for the visual arts of Southwest Washington.

  2. Representation on the Council which nominates the Board of Directors.

  3. All members of your organization shall have one vote at the general meeting and for elections at the Annual Meeting.

  4. Partnering with businesses and government to improve opportunities for local artists.

  5. Enlarged base of support, networks, and connections for visual artists.

  6. Collaborative guidance to the City and County in identifying the needs and wants of visual artists.

  7. Reduced duplication of effort/resources.

  8. A more facile exchange of information, skills, experience, materials, and collaboration.

  9. Greater social impact on community goals.

  10. Guidance on meeting/workshop locations, artist mentorships, grant writing, and collaborations.
     

Art Groups Responsibilities

  1. One or more representatives (determined by the size of members in the group) to sit on the CAN Council.

  2. Involvement in one or more CAN activities and committees.
     

Individual Artist Benefits

  1. Online exposure for your art and events on our website https://columbiaartsnetwork.org.

  2. Collaborating and partnering with businesses and government to improve opportunities for local artists.

  3. Enlarged base of support, networks, and connections for visual artists.

  4. A more facile exchange of information, skills, experience, materials, and collaboration.

  5. Greater impact on community goals and enhanced social impact.

  6. Guidance on meeting/workshop locations, artist mentorships, grant writing, and collaborations.

  7. The opportunity to be involved in identifying and creating a Regional Arts Center for the visual arts of Southwest Washington.

  8. Opportunity for membership on CAN’s Council and Board.
     

Business Benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES of ALL MEMBERSHIP TYPES

Each member will provide volunteer hours per year.  The hours may be satisfied by tasks that support CAN’s mission and are dependent on approval by CAN.  Members are invited and encouraged to work on CAN committees and events.

Note: Any dues paid for CAN membership will be effective through December of 2024
