The Northwest Independent Writers Association, East County Citizens Alliance, Friends of the Washougal Library and Fort Vancouver Regional Library, Vancouver Walking Club, will also participate in the Festival. “We are excited to bring together artists, musicians, and the community for a day of celebration and creativity,” said Janis Ferguson, Chairperson of the Festival. “The Washougal Art and Music Festival is a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages to experience the arts in a fun and engaging way.” The work of local artist Sandy Moore was selected as the image for the 2024 Washougal Art Festival poster. "Sail Boats" captures the essence of the area's natural beauty and maritime spirit. Inspired by Cottonwood Beach and the majestic Columbia River, Moore's mixed media fabric collage technique breathes life into the serene scene. Sandy remarked, "We are lucky to be surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. I love the water and living near the Columbia is a joy. Cottonwood Beach, a favorite destination, inspires this piece." The festival is free to attend and open to the public. It will be held in downtown Washougal in Reflection Plaza. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and family to enjoy the festivities and support local artists and musicians.
