Mary Elle is an Oregon based watercolor artist. She has recently been highlighted in her article on negative painting in the Spring 2022 issue in Watercolor Artist Magazine.  In this article, she says, "Learning negative painting involves rethinking the way paint is applied to paper to depict a recognizable object." 

This example shows how it can be used as the main approach for an entire work. In this 2-day workshop, we will learn and practice this technique which we then can use on all types of subject matter.  Sponsored by Southwest Washington Watercolor Society.
